No more excuses!

So, I heard many of you say that you would love to attend 'The Squamish Scrambler Snowshoe Run' on Jan 15th, but...

a) you hadn't tried snowshoeing before

b) you don't own a pair of snowshoes

c) you already have a hair appointment

Well, no more silly excuses, I've lined up 50 pairs of Atlas Dual Trac snowshoes for race rental...AND, I will cut hair for free during the event!

For just $10.00 you can utilize the best running snowshoe on the market! Not to mention the chance to win a free entry into a YETI snowshoe race this season!

Special thanks to The Yeti snowshoe series for all their assistance. Please check them out at www.theyeti.ca

I look forward to seeing you all in Squamish in January.(snowshoes must be booked in advance, by adding a note to your event registration)

Hurrah Garry! Thank you for

Hurrah Garry! Thank you for organizing snowshoes & everything. I've been hearing excuses too. Now there are none. I'm a turtle snowshoer, hope some other turtles are coming. Don't miss this one... imagine Scrambler views covered in pristine snow. Wow.

Will the free hair cuts look like yours?

Bring your kids (and YES, do SHAVE my head)

Awesome Gary for the organization. I'm bringing my whole family, including my 5 and 7 year olds on their own snowshoes, so I hope others will have their own or borrowed kids as well. Just remember, kids LOVE to do endurance events as long as there are PLENTY of treats available and rest stops are frequent.

And by then my hair will be getting longer so I'm in for a head shave if you're serious about hair cuts :).

Thanks very much for the event and we're really looking forward to it.

Kids and endurance

I agree, Tom. Children are natural runners.  Just watch them play and you get out of breath.  The trick is literally to turn it into play and they'll have fun.  Mine get a "treat bag" with nuts, raisins and a few chocoloates.  They can eat it in one go or nibble occassionally. Once it's gone,  they have to make do with the official food breaks.  That works pretty good and eliminates (most of) the whining for food.  Rule number one is to always bring enough food to feed an army when out in the woods with the children ;-)

Bald is in!

Shaved heads all around!

I already know of a few turtles that will be joining you. See you soon!
