Thanks for the motivation!

Hey Guys! As I was struggling at about 10 mile mark of the First Half 1/2 I heard my name shouted from the seawall below - and there (I think) were Gilles, karl and gang heading out on their 2nd 50kms of the weekend. I felt so much better - 3 more miles of effort was suddenly effortless thinking of your 45kms or so! Way to go guys!

Half-hearted response

A resounding thanks to the running vets for getting me through the 50K on Saturday, and accompanying Cheryl and Cynnimon. I'm not crazy in love as I spent my Sunday morning doing yoga to recover some flexibility while the pros hit the trails (and semi-roads) again. I do need to post a correction, though. I am a Rhonda, but far from Gallant (heh, heh). Rhonda (Schuller)

My apologies.

Rhonda, I have rectified the entry.

Sunday's results

Here are the results by order of beauty and modesty. Congrats to the 3 monkeys, John, Karl and Gilles, who completed The Double.

Thanks Ean

Saturday's results

The big news of the day is that for the most part we were spared the heavy rain that was forecasted. Dark heavy clouds yes, but no rain. And it was somewhat warm as well.

Everybody ran together at a conservative and steady pace. Here are the results by order of beauty.

Thank you for running slow

You ran slow and helped me run fast! It was a great day with lots of laughs & information.

The Time Passed Very Pleasantly

Well Cheryl, it was very much a treat to have three charming ladies to run with. A big step up from the Fools I've been running with lately. I suspect the other male runners feel the same way.

Congratulations

Congratulations to all you beautiful love birds who were on the course today.  You guys rock.  Let's see who is up for a repeat tomorrow?  Sleep well.

Creative Weather Maker?

You wish you are going to run in Palm Springs....!

Looks like the 9/10 February weekend is going to be a busy one.  I am hoping to make it up to the marvellous Squamish Scrambler again (highly recommended for all of you who think running 50km on Valentine's weekend is a bit steep.  Hopefully, the Valentine runners and the Scramblers enjoy sunshine during their adventure.  Sorry, Cheryl,  Saturday is out for me as well, as EJ (the little one) has a Judo turnament.  All this, without even considering that I haven't run in a month...that hip is still hurting.  Icing gives some relief and I was planning to starte running again this week - but with all this snow, I spent all my free time playing in the white stuff.

First 1/2 Half

You guys just can't get enough of this course hey? Would love to join you but the 10th is also the First 1/2 Half marathon and I'm running that so may cross paths as the 1/2 goes around the seawall. Have a great run!

Enough of the course

Actually Ellie, we have all had more than enough of the course. However, it serves as a good long tempo run and is a benchmark for how we are progressing. Good luck at the First 1/2. If you do see us please slow down...we don't want to blink and miss you.

What, you don't like my course?

Goodness, where's the love on Valentine's Day?

Will run it on Feb 9

I have other commitments on Feb 10 and can not volunteer or snowshoe or run the Valentines Flash. But I will run Valentines Flash on Feb 9 .... it's great training. Anybody who wants to join us on Saturday, please do!

Anybody for a Double?

Cheryl, Rhonda and Cynnimon will be running on Saturday. Leaving at 7 from Stanley Park. I'll be joining them for a Double Valentine Fat Ass. What can I say when you're in love, you're in love.

Double

People in love do Foolish things. I'm in.
