Vancouverite no more

So, I've moved to a different part of this gorgeous province of ours... I only had the chance to take part in two (or three? I can't remember) CFA events before I moved away from Vancouver but they were SUPER fun. And now I'm wondering if any of you are over on the Vancouver Island side of the water? I'm living in Victoria now, right near the Lieutenant Governor's house (within spitting distance of the garden, if you stand on the balcony - you're welcome to come over and give it a shot!). I've been on one run so far with the local Prairie Inn Harriers which was lovely, and I'm looking for any tips on trail running from locals: where to go, when, wanna run with me, etc. etc. etc.

I've also joined the local CAMRA group (CAMpaign for Real Ale, in case you're unfamiliar with the acronym) and it's time to go get ready for the June "meeting" at Swan's Hotel. I'm tremendously excited about all the fantastic beer in this city!!

Take care, all... really wish I could join you for XTC this weekend but the in-laws are heading out this way for a visit so I suppose I ought to be here to greet them :)

Maybe I'll see you @ Fluffy Bunny though.

Cheers from Vic!

Hi Katie,

Sorry to loose the devil in the blue dress from our Vancouver contigent (although I missed the blue dress performance at Buntzen ;-)

You are in luck.  Carlos Castillo hosts the Monty in July.  I think you'd hit it off.  You can get in contact with him via the contact form for the Monty or if you clikd on his username (on one of the Monty pages).

Hoping to do some of the Fluffy Bunny, although it might be just a loop around the lake...since the Fluffy Bunny bit me last time I did it...
