Capilano Canyon Night Run - A Few Changes

Capilano Night Run - Preview

This Saturday is coming at us like a freight train. I figured it would be a good idea to run the course before I host the run so as to note any last minute hiccups.

Capilano Night Run -PreviewThe recent wind storms have caused some damage to the trails, so there will be some temporary course changes this year.  I will announce the specifics at the start of the run this Saturday evening just before the 6:30 pm start.

We're expecting good turnout from all over BC, Washington and Alberta. I look forward to seeing you!

PS  If you're injured, lazy or don't want to risk getting your shoes muddy, be sure and come by for the potluck party around 9:30.

Thank you to poster boy Paul Cubbon who ran part of the course with me earlier this week and who is pointing out a couple of detours.  Doug Mackay ran the entire competitive route with me a couple of weeks ago, but we forgot the camera.

Note:  Ron Adams has kindly offered to host a water station again this year.  Aid station Adams is on the Capilano River at roughly the 1-hour mark of the run.

Group Run

Further to the proposed changes on the competitive, longer route,  I will offer to lead a slow group run on an alternate out and back course.
