E/B 2009 news

Hi! everybody, I have been working on the set up for this years "Celebration of Distance Running". I am introducing a new event this year. A "First Timers" Marathon. This will start at the same time as the main events and will be open to 20 newbies. I know it is the day before the Vancouver marathon, but that shouldn't be a problem. It will be 4 laps of the Lake plus the extra bit.(run at the beginning of the first lap). This would be an ideal run for your teenage kids or all those running spouses that would be over here supporting their SO's. A low key off road marathon, for those who don't like the idea of 42.2K of asphalt. I am trying to get the nod from the ACU for my 50 mile event to be the National Championship race of my three race Ultramarathon card. Online registration should be open by this W/E. I miss you all! Love Jackal

Hoping to join you this year

Greetings brother Jackal,

Been a while.  I'm hoping to put this plantar fasciitis behind me and bring a boat-load of lower-mainlanders over with me this year. Don't think I qualify for the marathon, so looks like it will be 50K.

Here's the URL for the Elk-Beaver Ultra. It's a great event with distances for everyone!

Greetings Bro...

the Elk /Beaver should be able to run itself so that I can run it with you guys. Beginning to think about generators, sponsors banners PR stuff, timing teams and the food.... I was toying with the idea of the Mardi Gras night run. Caroline (ceegee) G. Is going to be your side of the pond soon. You will probably see her more often. As for Jackal, he's fine.Still making movies. http://jackal100.blogspot.com/

Onlie Registration now Open
