CCC-100M-DNF

This year was not to be.
 
I ran well, felt good for 20 hours did 75 miles and managed to get well off course fell in Mineral Creek up to my chest and had to bush whack for 90 minutes.
Fortunately for me John also took the wrong turn at Mineral Creek and heard me yelling!
I was cut and bruised to buggery and very sad. I thought I was going to die out there!
By the time we got back on track and to the aide station I had just missed the cut. John carried on, but I was hurting, bleeding and depressed.
Still, I'm fine now.
As far as I know, the other Fat Asses finished.

Hi Carlos,

So sorry that you didn't finish.  What an ordeal. Glad that John was around to "rescue" you.
We were thinking off you guys as we were sipping beer after the Go Deep on Saturday.

I hope your injuries to body and soul heal fast.

Trail rash

I have been down to the pool today and my legs still look as if I fell off my road bike.
I noticed that I heald up in order of priorities...
First the legs, then the back, then the gut,now the skin and toes.
I'm running tomorrow,(Thursday with Ms. J) and giong longish on Sunday.
I'm registered for the 56K GLW @ Lake Cowichan.(Logging roads.)
