Quantcast

Camping plans for the Mainlanders.

I have mown the lawn and whacked the dandy lions...

Good news! Ms.Jackal will lend me the green mini-van so I will be able to ferry anyone from  my home in Gordon head to the 7:00 am start of the Full Monty.
I will leave my lair at 6:00 to give me enogh time to drop by Caleb Pike and leave the aide station at the turn-around.
then drive on to the start.
The Half Monty will start with or without me from the yellow pole just at the first corner of Ross Durance Rd. where the Timberman trail starts.
PS I am recruiting one person as my 1/2 Monty starter, and maybe clearing up the aide station.

I will run sweep. First on the trail and last off.

ILTS!

Sorry I Missed You!

Hey Jackal,

I was really looking forward to doing the Monty today.  I'd have given you a bit more heads-up, but I wasn't sure:

1) If I'd survive the KneeKnacker without injury and

2) If I'd be on the island until Friday

Thx for trying to accommodate me.  Next time I'll aim to bring a car and some other mainlanders with me.

The weather sure must have been perfect.  Can't wait to see the film!

  So its done.
Shane won the 1/2 Monty in an incredible time of 1:56:57, I hope he didn't take the Jocelyn bypass,no I'm pretty sure I saw him on the scenic loop.
Buddy Bhandar was second in the sprint event, he got a little turned around at the beginning but came in with a solid 2:43:33, Colette Tunstead won the female division in a time of 3:35:XX.
Elizabeth and I ran the whole friggin thing together, and I was glad for that as I would probably pushed too hard if left to my own devises. It was hot out there today!
So in summation, 8 registered 5 started 5 finished. As it was we managed to secure a sub 8 hour finish for her first Ultra!
She recently came back from Squamish where she ran a "Brick" over two days over the course that she plans to run 50 miles for the "Stormy" Ultra.
She hung in there real good!
Now to work on the video...
ILTS!
