2007 Poster Children

2007 Club Fat Ass Poster Children modelling the Club shirt

The 2007 poster children had fun strutting their stuff modelling the green Club colours.  Judging by the attitude we have at least one future top model among our ranks.  Click on the image to see a slideshow of our photo shoot.  Thanks to Steering Committee members Lara, Berglind, Michele and Ean.

The limited edition lime green (moss coloured for men) shirts are now officially collector items. Only members signed up before the early January deadline received the sought after shirts.  If you missed the boat but want our funky Club shirt, don't despair.  Our popular blue and classical black shirts are available here.

Run To The Clouds Event Coming Up

Hi fellow Club Fat Assers,

Sorry for delay in getting you guys some additional information on the 2007 RUN TO THE CLOUDS event. It has been very busy... The good news is, the run is on. The better news is, I believe the changes we have made to the course for this year will only make the run even better! This years route will be 100% off road, so will be a challenging trail run for those who like to plonk through the woods.

Boston Tea Party

For all Canadians running the Boston Marathon next week, please join Team Canada for the 6th annual brunch.  More info at: www.bostonteaparty.ca

Sunny Breaks in the Forecast for Mountain Highway Madness

Are you ready to build an arc?  Feel like so much rain has fallen that you have moss growing on your skin?  There is hope....I just checked the hourly forecast for tomorrow morning and it looks like participants in the Mountain Highway Madness can leave their Goretex at home.  According to the weather man the rains are going to stop early in the morning and not resume until mid afternoon.  Rain-no-Train Jackson should be happy (if he survived the Chuckanut 50km race in the monsoons today, that is!)

Mountain Highway Madness

Mountain Highway Madness is coming up this Sunday.

Mountain Highway Madness is an interval run. About 15K long, in the woods
on a wide, dirt and gravel road... it goes up and down a big mountain in
North Vancouver. While you don't need a doctor's certificate, you have to
be at least a bit crazy to even consider the challenge. Details at:
www.clubfatass.com/events/springmhm

Shoot for bragging rights and a place in the records book. Word on the
street is that someone might go for the second level of Platinum this
spring. (bronze = 1 lap, silver = 2 laps, gold = 3 laps, platinum = 4 laps
and he's talking about running 75K or 5 laps.) Believe it when you see it!
 Details from last year at:
www.clubfatass.com/events/springmhm/results/spring2006

At 3 weeks before Diez Vista and 5 weeks before the Vancouver marathon, this
makes for a fun way to put a little variety and competition in your
training.

It's a Club Fat Ass event, so it's free to members. Please help me make
sure we start on time by registering online at:
www.clubfatass.com/events/springmhm/registration

PS Join us for a free beer at the Mosquito Creek Grill afterwards.
