Preview run...

Did my own 1/2 Knacker, (1/2 Monty) solo, I guess I was competing with too much today with the FireFighters10K, the 1/2 Knacker 25K, Bastion square Bike Bash,Swiftsure Yacht races, and general Sunday laziness.... Well it was an 8:10 start, I did wait, then 6 mins to the bridge. another 7 minutes to the top af the first pitch,30 mins to the larger wooden bridge before Jocelyn 40 mins to the sign, now this is where the out of towners will take the short cut and head for Holmes and Caleb's pike. I took the full detour on the snaky trail (2K of illogical twists) to the western edge of the ridge, on Jocelyn , then back onto the main Ridge/Ridge top trail. It has both names and marked with distances, the painter must have been a Quebecer as he put the distances with the letter K after them.(don't be fooled,.8k to Caleb's pike is 10 more minutes!( I think they are closer to correct in miles.) The turn around happened at 1:26:28 then Back the same way. I Bumped into Pascal Matters(29y/o) He was doing the 1/2 Monty plus an out and back on Mt. Work after he got back to his truck (4:30+ for his w/o today).Nice guy, he did the E/B 50K and is planning to do some thing big soon, probably the Great Walk and the Full Monty, you don't get too many Clydesdales in over distance training, nor too many young ones! I did the finish in 2:48:32 from the yellow pole on Ross Durrance Rd.to the Caleb pike parking lot and back to the wooden bridge. After that it was 1/2K drive to Durrance Lake for a swim a quick beer from my tailgate, and home by noon..... How was your morning? The Full Monty will be epic, kind of like the Dirty Duo.
