SeymourSunday

I am looking for a few people to join me on my Sunday morning runs. Let's keep each other honest and committed through the darker season.

I have a few new favourite trails that I became familiar with since last year. If you want to find out where to find Teacup or how to get to Pineapple Express from there then I'll be happy to show you. If you already know just show up for the company and the muffin after.

This is a reoccuring event for the next little while. So come out and join me.

Meet at 8am at the Bean around the World at Parkgate Mall at the base of Mount Seymour. Join me for a 90min run followed by a treat at the coffee place at around 9:30 and wrap it up around 10.

If the weather is somewhat decent you can let me know and we can get a head start around 7am too (maybe with headlamps then). We can do an extra lap before checking back at the coffee place to see if anyone else wants to join at 8am.

I've been living in the Mt. Seymour neighbourhood for about a two years now and have a decent knowledge of the local trails (although I still discover new ones sometimes).

We usually stick together and the speedier folks can get some intervals in by looping around as desired. If you have a good knowledge of the trails you can always get going and we reconvene at the coffee place otherwise I'll be happy to give you a tour of the area.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

4 of us out there this time

We had a good run and even stayed dry. I am on a bit of a roll in that respect.

Seymour Sunday

See you at 8:00!  First CFA event for me in ages.

see you in the morning

Looks like there will be a few of us. Great.

I shall attend.

Hopefully my shoes will dry out from today. Or maybe I should use this as moisture training and keep them in a bucket of water until Sunday?

if you keep your head under water til sunday

Your family won't be able to pass on any more of their germs that way. I started working road shoes into the trail.runs to start with dry feet. See you Sunday dry, wet or damp.

Pace?

Hi Marc,

What is the typical elevation and mileage the group does?  I am trying to figure out pace and whether I'd be too slow as I am just getting back into it after a couple of months of taking it very easy.

Thank you!

Maris

We usually all stick together or loop around if need be, so I am sure you'll be fine. 10 - 12 k is what we'll do at the most I guess. Doris had the same concerns a few weeks back and she was just fine ... And so will you. See you on Sunday.

Count me in

Hi Marc, I will plan to join you again for the Sunday run. I might extend my run afterwards to squeeze in some more mileage, as I'm skipping a longer training run on Sat in favor of skiing. Will see how I feel in the morning!

7am is a bit too early for me

7am is a bit too early for me (and the bus as well), so will see you for 8!
