New Year's Resolutions 2014 - Marc Schmitz

Here is my 2014 Goldilocks list. Not too long, not too short. Just right.

1. Run my first 50miler (most likely Sun Mountain in Winthrop, WA in May)

2. Volunteer at 2 races (I am thinking Tenderfoot Boogie and maybe Dirty Duo, but I am flexible on that)

3. Bag 10 new to me peaks in the Bagger Challenge

4. Complete a total of 3 Ultras

2013 New Year's Resolution Evaluation - Marc Schmitz

Here is how I did with my fitness related resolutions in 2013. I better evaluate them before this fine website gets archived and frozen in time. It's not like there is much time to do anything about any unfinished business anyway:

1. My first goal is to improve my 10k, 1/2 Marathon, Marathon and 50k time by an average of 15%

This project I already started by running a faster 10k in October at one of the MEC Fall Classic races.

2013 - Year 12 - Capilano Midsummer Night Run

No Nickel-and-Diming for NSR

To show my support for North Shore Rescue in the Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run fundraising challenge in 2012, I collected pennies.

Are you ready for the Vancouver 100?

TCT Social Club 2013?

I would like to see the TCT Social Club run again this year. In unrelated news, I would have a healthy headstart in the 2013 edition.

Yesterday, I ran from Willingdon Ave in Burnaby to the other side of the Golden Ears Bridge in Langley (Section 4.2 to Section 8.2), or 60.1 km of complete sections. I started at 1:30 and finished about 6h later.

James' 2013 Resolutions

1.  Run negative splits

2.  Spearhead Traverse

3.  Clear floppy bunny (including entry ramp) on my mountain bike

4.  Try not to get injured

5.  Tick off five more north shore peaks

6.  2 x marathon or ultras

7  1 x really long run - may be the full moon frenzy
