 07:00 Early start for the "Full Monty". I will be starting with the over-nighters and the locals. I will have arranged for a friend to start the "1/2 Monty" So that if I am not back from the first loop, the rest of you will have an official send off @ 10:00.
 09:30 Arrive at the start at the trailhead of Timberman trail @ Ross-Durance Rd. in Gowland Tod Provicial Park near Victoria, BC, Canada. Check-in. Set up your gear.
 09:50 Welcome and final briefing
 09:55 Photo
 11:00 1/2 Monty start.
 12:00-14:30 All runners should have completed the  Half Monty and Full Monty.
 15:00-16:00 Party at my place 1732 Llandaff Place V8N 4V1
 17:00 Return to ferry for Vancouver

How to Get to the Start?

  • For the Full Monty: get to my place 1732 Llandaff Place (off Shelbourne near Mt.Douglas) the night before, or get yourselves to the start for  6:45 for the 7:00 start.
  • For the Half Monty: Take the 7:00 am Tswaasen ferry to Swartz Bay.
  • Then follow #17 southbound for about 6K. Pass the Airport, keep going until about the 15K mark, look out for the major road, Keating Cross Rd, on the Right. Take Keating Cross Rd. for about 3K till you hit West Saanich Rd. Turn left onto the (17A )West Saanich Rd. and drive to about the 20K mark to Durrance Rd. (small twisty Rd.) on the right. Take Durrance for about 1K, till it hits Wallace Drive. Turn left onto Wallace Drive, drive about 3K to Willis Point Rd. Turn sharp right onto Willis Point Rd. Take Willis Point for 3K to the sign for Gowlland Todd Provincial park on Ross Durrance Rd. Drive 100 metres to the Car Park on the Left. Park.
  • Total driving time from the ferry terminal in Swartz Bay is  about 30 mins.
  • I have a friend at the start of the 1/2 monty. He will be at the carpark at 9:30 and will escort all the 10 o'clock people to the trailhead.(3 minute walk.)
    Then you will get your picture taken for the web site. Hopefully the 7:00 am starters will be back from there 1st. Loop in time for the mass start!

  • If you come as foot passengerthe night before, try for the 18:00 ferry and I will pick you up.  Please confirm with me if you need to be picked up here

What to Bring?

  • Carlos has room for 5 tents in his yard plus a futon bed in the basement (still up for grabs), so if you would like to stay the night before the event at Carlos' place, please bring your camping gear along.
  • Aid. (Whatever food, water or electrolyte drink you need for the distance you are running and whatever clothing you need for the weather.)
  • your official timing system. A wrist watch will do!
  • Change of clothes and swimming gear for afterwards
  • Course directions. We recommend you put them in a baggie so they don't turn to mush.

Post-Event

  • Runners, crew, friends and family are encouraged to meet afterwards, back at his place for a post run party.(food and drink,BYO.)
