Sibylle's 2012 Fitness Goals

I am feeling more like a cyclist these days then a runner....certainly haven't been able to put any mileage in since earlier in the year.  I guess my main goal this year is to get rid of the very painful heelspur that has been plaguing me and prevented me from consistently running:

Goal #1: Healing the painful heelspur on my left foot.

Goal #2: Participating in the Vancouver New Years Day Fat Ass - custom 10km course

Goal # 4: Participating in at least the following other events/races: 

  • Capilano Canyon MardiGras Night Run 
  • Mountain Highway Madness 
  • XTC 25K 
  • Bill's Great Peak Ascent 
  • Capilano Canyon Midsummer Nite Night Run 
  • Go Deep or Go Home 
  • Sunshine in September 
  • Go Deep 
  • M&M's 
  • Pure Satisfaction 

Goal # 5: 5 peaks in the Peak Bagger Challenge

Goal # 6: ride my bike to work - weather permitting (I've been averaging 3.5 per week rain or shine and am hoping to keep that up. 

Goal #7: start going to the gym again at least 1x/week for core and upper body work

Goal # 8: get on a more consistence stretching program and become more flexible - easily reach toes!

Goal #9: Add some other sports to the mix occasionally, ie. Badminton, kayaking, Ultimate. Realistically, I won't have time to add this into a weekly routine, but doing something different every once in a while would be nice.
