Route

In typical Club Fat Ass fashion, there will be no course markings. Please make sure you print out the detailed course description and bring it with you (in a plastic baggie). Better yet, train on the course and bring the directions. There will also be a forest service map available (with highlighted route) at the the start.

Elevation starts at about 2600 feet and we will ascend to about 4600 feet at highest place on the course. There are a couple hills that take some work but nothing will burst your heart. Multiple ups and downs. Some very nice downhill sections.

Getting to the Start

Start and finish is at Copper Falls near Eastport, Idaho, USA. Nearest towns in BC, Canada are Cranbrook and Creston, in Idaho, USA the nearest town is Bonners Ferry.

If you come from Vancouver (I have been told) that it is much easier and faster for you to come from Spokane WA. You need to take I90 east toward Sandpoint then US 95 North from Sandpoint to Eastport. Eastport is about 1 hour from Sandpoint. US 95 north goes right in front of my house. Signs will be posted so you don't overshoot our area.

Just before you get to Eastport you will cross a bridge (From South) and a duty free store will be off to your left. Take next dirt road and travel about 2 miles until you come to Coppers Falls. You will see a sign for it, park next to bathrooms.
