Hi Reagan,  Can you please

Hi Reagan,  Can you please rate your accomplishments out of 100 so that I can wrap the 2011 contest?

how'd i do? I'll say 56%.

The goals were a good motivator this year. So how'd I do? Overall 15/27 = 56% attained! Woot!

* Finish in Top 3 in club point series, by participating in 16 club events

Result: 3/5 Goal just missed, finished in 4th place, participating in 9 events. Not bad, some schedule conflicts were due to ultras and others to illness.

* Finish in Top 10 in bagger challenge point standings, by bagging 12 peaks

Result: 2/3 Goal missed, finished in Top 20 by bagging 8 peaks. More importantly, created some lasting memories by bagging with family members young and old.

* Run my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ultras

Result: 3/3 Goal attained! + Completed March 19th Chuckanut 50k! + Completed Aug 6th Tenderfoot Boogie 50k! + Completed Sept 17th Frosty Mt. 50k!

Apart from the running events, I aimed to:

* serve another term on the steering committee, but do some heavy lifting this time around

Result: 1/3 Goal missed. Enjoyed serving on steering committee but fell short of expectations with regards to heavy lifting.

* update the ActivePorker iPhone app for 2011, including a showcase for the Bagger Challenge

Result: 1/5 Goal missed, though verified compatibility of ActivePorker with every new iOS release - it still works!

* refer 3 new members

Result: 0/3 Goal missed. Maybe next year.

* bike commute daily for full year (building on daily bike commute habit formed for last 4 months of 2010)

Result: 5/5 Goal attained! Biked to work 95+% of the time.

Bring on 2012!

Yikes, your accomplishments

Yikes, your accomplishments sound impressive, so I was shocked to see the 30% grade.  I probably would have given you a bit more ;-)  I.e. 4th place is not a 0%,  you almost made it...should that not be at least a 75% or so?

Anyway, as I said to Susan, who also just rated herself, here is to next year!

you were right

my accounting system was flawed I deserved more credit than I originally gave myself credit for. the more reasonable accounting method is now reflected. R

Nice, Reagan!

Dude - that Chuckanut 50k is going to be killer. The entrant list looks like a who's-who of ultrarunning. Great goals for the year, Reagan. Good luck with 'em!

thanks Jason!

Thanks, J.E.!

That's quite a compliment, especially coming from the newly-crowned goals champion!  Whatcha got brewing for 2011?

Yeah, that Chuckanut is going to be fun!  Just gonna run my own race and aim to finish!

Hope to see you up here in 2011!

More "fun runs", less "racing"...

I think that's what I have on the books for 2011. I have a few plans in the works, including:

Grand Canyon RTRTR with some crazies

Appalachian Trail Group Run (80 mile segment)

Still thinking maybe Vancouver 100???

Haven't signed up for any official ultras though. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Now I'm wishing I would have put my name in the hat for Chuckanut! JEALOUS.
